Accelerating Joy

We provide targeted grants to foster philanthropy, community, and opportunity in motorsport

Motorsport is one of very few venues in which men, women, and people with disabilities can compete against each other in a level playing field, but the barriers to entry can feel enormous. The Bluebird Fund aims to increase access, and accelerate joy. In 2024 we provided “no-strings attached” grants promote Safety, Improvement, and Women in Motorsport, with a specific focus on (stage) rally.

About the Founder

After two decades in horse sport (including competing in World Championships in two different disciplines, helping found two non-profits to support disabled equestrian sport, and serving as an elected athlete for the national governance board) - it was time for a change. I dipped my toe into motorsports by taking a Women’s class at Dirtfish, and was immediately hooked. I quickly realized the Helen Thompson quote was incomplete: “In riding a horse we borrow freedom”.

In racing a car we TAKE it.

I look forward to growing the fund to accelerate joy for as many as possible.

What comes next?

As we look to grow the fund, we would love to hear from folks in the motorsport community. We welcome anyone who’d be interesting in volunteering some time, has ideas about fundraising or events, or really just learning more about you and what matters to you.
